UICM&M ’s Bowhead operational companies are named after the great Arctic whale that has been the focus of the Inupiat culture of Alaska's North Slope for centuries. UIC Maintenance & Manufacturing (UICM&M) and its Bowhead companies are subsidiaries of the Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation of Barrow, Alaska.
